Protopam Chloride (pralidoxime chloride) is now approved by US FDA for pediatric use of chemical poisoning treatment.

The United .States. F D A has approved new drug Protopam Chloride (pralidoxime chloride) for pediatric use .Protopam Chloride (pralidoxime chloride) is a drug which is used in the treatment of poisoning of organophosphate pesticides and chemicals (e.g., nerve agents) . US FDA approved has this drug for intravenous (IV) or intramuscular (IM) injections routes of administartion.

Although the drug was in use for treatment for poisoning in pediatric patients in emergency situations even before US FDA approved this drug.
